Steeped in history and virtues, Marseille soap, a toilet companion for generations, champion of household chores, virtuoso of washhouses, has built a reputation around the world. The other side of the coin to the success it has always known, it is today the target of multiple counterfeits from abroad which usurp its name. Learning to recognize the real Marseille soap, distinguishing the authentic from the pale copy, interfering in its manufacturing secrets, such is the quest of our century-old soap factory which demystifies the universe of this legendary soap.

When in 1945 the heirs of Pierre Rampal decided to transform his raw soap into extra fine petals, a new cult product was born. Traditional and modern at the same time, this new form of detergent enters Provençal homes, then crosses countries and generations, despite the tough competition from chemical powders. Of course, it is the quality test that will decide the fate of the sequins.

The art of making pure vegetable soaps began in 1935, in our soap factory. Their immediate success confirmed our taste for innovation, an authentic mark of the Rampal Latour soap makers. Years later, allowing our traditionally natural soaps to become "organic certified", we have breathed new life into our craft. In 2008, we launched our range of organic shampoos, shower gels and soaps, certified by ECOCERT and labeled COSMEBIO. And in 2010, this same range was voted “Best organic range of the year” at the New York international fair, “New York Gift Show”.

The Rampal Latour Soap Factory is labeled by the State as a "Living Heritage Company" (EPV), for the excellence of its know-how, the possession of a rare economic heritage and the reputation of the cultural dimension of its services and its location.
